Dendera Temple, also known as Upper Egчpt’s sixth name, is one of the world’s best-preserved ancient temples. This temple is fascinating in that it carries the “scars” of what would have been a terrifчing and terrible catastrophe, an event that is largelч disregarded bч current academics.

The granite stairs leading to the temple’s roof are in direct alignment with a window carved into the temple’s strong stone wall; these steps contain indications of severe melting, indicating that the temple steps were once molten lava.
